MATTA International Fair Selangor Umrah & Muslim Travel Destinations

Shah Alam, 09 Safar = 14 January (Friday):

MATTA International Fair Selangor is the fourth and launched by YAB Tan Seri Dato` Seri Abdul Khalid bin Ibrahim Menteri Besar Selangor at the Shah Alam Convention Center. In his honorable speech Menteri Besar said, ``The market for Matta is really big. Every year Muslims went to Makkah for Hajj and Umrah. There are more than 40,000 waiting list and need to wait for 15 years. There are more than one billion muslim from hundred of muslim countries that have potential to travel not only to Makkah but to visit Muslim countries that relate to Islam such as Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and China which has Muslims population especially Urumqi in Xi Jiang. Malaysia could attracted visitors here from Muslim and non Muslim countries for medical and education and Selangor has the facilities and infrastructures.``


Before that Encik Mohd Akil Mohd Yusof Chairman of Matta Selangor 2011 in his welcome speech said,``


``MATTA Selangor Chapter is proud to present the 4th MATTA International Fair Selangor – Umrah and Muslim Travel Destinations (MASUM) in Shah Alam, Selangor.`` He said,
``This year MASUM promised to be bigger and better fair in Selangor Darul Ehsan. Continuing with our main theme `Umrah & Muslim Travel Destinations`, We have Masum at the newly completed exhibition hall in Shah Alam known as The Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC Convec),. In view of the strategic location and aggressive advertising and promotion effort that take place, we believe this will attract many visitors to see what MASUM exhibitors can offer in terms of products and services displayed and offered during MASUM 2011. We believe this is the only consumer travel fair that promote muslim travel dentinations. Making it unique and special for the specific needs of muslim in Malaysia,`` he said.


For visitors there are 34 exhibitions such as Barakah Umhaj Travel and Tours SB, Andalusia Travel & Tours SB, Triways Travel Network (M) Sdn. Bhd., Poto Travel SB, Wira Saujana Travel & Tours SB, Umrah For All Travel SB and Omega Travel & Tours SB.

There are 22 Non-Travel Agency Exhibition such as Turkish Embassy, Misr Asia Travel, Swiss Garden International, Siti Khadijah Apparel Sdn. Bhd, Fatimah Apperal SB, Kuwait Finance House and Tourism Malaysia.

And Airlines Exhibition such as Gulf Air, Egypt Air, Oman Air, Jet Airways, Fly Firefly Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia Airlines and Fly Emirates.
