Obama: Between The Religious Freedom And Freedom Of Critic

BBB, 07 Ramadhan = 17 August (Wednesday):

The withdrawal of Barack Obama from support to build a mosque or Muslim Cultural Centre blocks away from the Ground Zero in New York sparked criticism among the public. It seemed that Obama did not stand firmly to the principle of Religious freedom and democracy rather than seasonally issues. The issue to build the mosque began when Obama endorsed the idea from Muslim community during a Ramadhan break at White House (first Friday - third of Ramadhan) as Obama said.
``Muslim have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country.``
It is consider the support related with the background of Obama`s father – Hussein was a Muslim in Uganda and he himself lived in a Muslim community in Indonesia during his childhood, that lead him to sympathy the Muslim.``
The endorsement sparked criticism from public especially from the family of September 11, 2001 victims as the site proposed for the mosque near the tragedy attacks place in New York City.
Under the pressure Obama withdrew his support and changed his stand and said,
``I only supported the organizers` right to build the mosque.``

However the withdrawal puts Obama in debated, that how far American considered the leader of democracy really practiced democracy and freedom of religion?
Americans must thinking rationally, that the September 11, 2001 tragedy is a different case and do not mixed with the right of the American Muslims to have their right to practiced their faith.

Obama must stand firmly on democracy’s side and the right to practice of religion and not put himself under pressure of any particular events.

Thank you.
